History
The Nursing and Public Health Society was founded in the Spring semester of the 2018–2019 academic year under the advisership of Prof. İlknur Aydın Avci, Head of the Nursing Department, and under the presidency of student nurse Hanife Ünlü, with 10 founding members.

During the 2019–2020 academic year, the Society began actively admitting members and organizing activities.
Society Logo
Our logo was created after several draft designs and discussions involving our Department Head Prof. Dr. İlknur Aydın Avcı, Research Assistant Güven Soner, and Society President Hanife Ünlü, to best reflect the mission and vision of our Society.
The logo of the Nursing and Public Health Society features the lamp of Florence Nightingale an iconic symbol of the nursing profession and silhouettes of people representing the community above the lamp. The continuity of the flame and its connection to the community symbolizes the enlightening role of nurses in protecting and improving public health. The Society logo was designed by Research Assistant Dr. Güven Soner.
